I recently had the opportunity to visit
Florida State University for an academic conference in my discipline of Human Development and Family Studies. I had known that one of physics' legendary figures,
Paul Dirac (Nobel Prize 1933), finished his career at FSU, so I did a little homework and found that the university had named its science library after him. I enjoy photographing college campuses (and even have another
blog devoted to this pursuit), so I made it a point on my visit to find the Dirac Library. And here it is, along with the adjoining statue...

The main thing that comes to my mind about Dirac's research is his theorizing of
antiparticles (for further background on antiparticles, see this
earlier posting of mine).
