Timetable for LHC

Another update on the Large Hadron Collider: According to a recent New York Times article, the LHC will "operate at only half power for the next two years and then shut down for a yearlong repair session." Based on what I've read at some prominent particle-physics blogs (here and here), major (potential) discoveries such as the Higgs boson probably won't occur until 2013, but important new findings are possible before then.
